Top Director-Actor Teams?

This post at Anomalous Material on director-actor partnerships got me thinking about great filmmaking teams. Like John Woo and Chow Yun-fat (pictured above in Woo’s delirious, no holds barred Hong Kong actioner Hard Boiled). The only ground rule for this game: they must have made at least three movies together.

My Life As an Indy Moviegoer – July, 2011 Recap

I had an ambitious movie-watching plan laid out for this year’s Indy Film Fest- until ridiculously long days at the office and a sudden business trip to Georgia intervened. In the event, I only made it to one film, The City Dark. A documentary about light pollution, it was entertaining and surprisingly informative. Read more »

Rewind: Films of the 60s, 70s, 80s – What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962)
