Seijun Suzuki of Branded to Kill and Underworld Beauty also directed some of the Lupin TV series and co-directed the Lupin movie Lupin III: Legend of the Gold of Babylon. Even though Castle of Cagliostro is the most beloved of Lupin movies, the main criticism is that he changed Lupin's personality. Lupin was originally lecherous sex maniac and a little more self serving in the manga and previous series than Miazaki portrayed him. Also, Monkey punch says the Red jacket is the preferred jacket of Lupin. Fiat also has Lupin in their new advertisements of the remake of the fiat 500 that appeared in castle.
