Wow. I remember watching The Village. It was pretty okay. I remember watching and and feeling all that fear and suspense, but then i remember the end and how i was so pissed off...i also remember trying to comfort myself by saying "Well, at least it had a good message."
But that is not worth my money.
I dont want to have to comfort myself after having watched The Happening or any movie for that matter.
I am most certaintly NOT watching this movie.
i think id rather be preached to by someone a little more entitled.

I read a review of The Happening which pointed out that since The Sixth Sense (which was very good) every subsequent Shyamalan film has been progressively worse, culminating with the nonsense that is this latest effort. This strikes me as an accurate assessment of the man's body of work, which, given how on target your review is, makes me more than a little curious to see what M. Night has in store for us next. I'm almost afraid to ask out loud, and perhaps it's just the train wreck enthusiast in me, but really, how much worse can it get?

Wow. This really sounds awful. I'm in exactly the same boat as Liz. I liked the Village but never watched The Lady in the Water. Even though I like Mark Wahlberg, I probably will skip this one as well.

Yeah, sounds about right. I gave up on Shyamalan after The Village, which I liked, but...somehow I just never got around to Lady in the Water. I think I've made a wise decision.
