She had a colorful role in Laurel Canyon, an unconventional but I thought not very successful ensemble drama where she played opposite Christian Bale as his life-force type mother. Rather like Miss Pettigrew, she was very fine in a movie that didn't live up to her performance. Definitely an underutilized talent. Your question prompted a quick look at her imdb credits. Outside of "The Man Who Wasn't There," which was another Coen Bros. vehicle, I can't recall another movie that highlighted her since that year. It appears from your review that this won't be a vehicle for spotlighting her talent either, at least in any large scale way.
