This sounds like a great movie to take my mom to, not that I couldn't enjoy it without her presence. Good, quirky, heartfelt movies sometimes get lost amongst the CGI blockbusters, violent horror flicks, and cynical art house films. This sounds like the perfect fare to brighten my mood on a rainy day. Maybe I can still catch this in the theatre.

Glad to hear that Fillion's living up to his "Firefly" legacy - he's deserving of mucho fanfare to retroactively make up for his underexposure during that sci-fi show's run. Russell sounds like she was a pleasant surprise as well. I can't say that I recall many of her previous performances. Not that she's bad, mind you, just chameleon like.

I had forgotten about Shelly's murder as well. Damn shame. The guy who confessed to the crime was working in the apartment below her and became irate about Shelly's complaints regarding his noise level. After his arrest, he allegedly told police officers that he was "having a bad day" before the confrontation. What a world...
